Podium

Height and angle

You can adjust the height of the podium using the black buttons on the left side.

If you want to change the angle of the podium, push gently up/down on the top/bottom of the podium’s surface. The maximum angle is five degrees.

Worktops

On the right, you’ll find a sliding tray for your laptop, tablet, or notes.

It works by touch: press it lightly in and then pull it out.

Keyboard, Mouse, Pointer

Under the work top there’s a drawer where you’ll find the keyboard of the Podium PC, the mouse, the pointer for slides and an HDMI cable to connect your laptop to the podium.

Note: If you have a Mac, you’ll need an adaptor to use the HDMI cable!

The outlets

Left side

Just below the ON switch you’ll find:

  • a power outlet;

  • two USB charger ports which work only to charge devices, not to transfer data;

  • an outlet for the extra mic (Podium Mic 1).

Right side

Here are the main ports so you can connect to the Touch Panel and the Podium PC:

  • an HDMI port to connect your laptop (you’ll find the cable in the podium drawer);

  • a USB port, to load materials directly on the Podium PC;

  • a LAN port to connect two devices via an ethernet cable;

  • an electric outlet.

Powering on

To turn on all the components simply push the button on the left of the worktop. You’ll see the Touch Panel and the touch monitor of the Podium PC power on. For information on how to use them see the section: The Touch Panel or The Podium PC.

Note: If the monitor does not activate automatically, near the slot in the upper right corner there is an ON switch for the monitor. Five icons will light up on the right side of the screen when the monitor is properly turned on.

You can power on the Touch Panel manually as well by pushing the ON button in the upper right corner of the display.
