Ferrero Auditorium

This section is dedicated to the Ferrero Auditorium, with a detailed description of everything you’ll find here.

The Ferrero Auditorium is the main auditorium on the new Campus, located at Via Sarfatti 10, in the basement (floor -1) of the building. It has a circular shape with windows running along the entire circumference. This allows anyone who goes in or out of the building from the main entrance on the ground floor to see what’s happening inside.

The Auditorium is not a classroom, which means that it does not have a whiteboard like the other classrooms.

TIPS:

  • Because of the circular shape of the Auditorium, sound can easily echo, so we suggest you stand at the center of the room, the best position for participants to hear you. If events are accessible remotely, you’ll need to use a mic to enable participants off campus to hear you too.

  • Remember that the circular shape of the auditorium means that you might have your back to some people in the audience. So you should try to move around or find a strategic point with respect to the audience where you can stand while maintaining eye contact with everyone. For distance initiatives, make sure the video camera frames what you need it to, so participants have a good view of you even if they’re following the session remotely.

The cupboard

When you go into the auditorium through the main entrance, on the left next to the emergency exit there’s a cupboard built into the Auditorium wall. Inside you’ll find all the equipment you’ll need: 7 mics (4 clip-ons and 3 handhelds), an HDMI cable, a mouse, and a pointer for the slides. This is also where the Auditorium PC is stored along with the Tablet, which you can use as a Touch Panel.

The doors

The doors (apparently) don’t have handles. In fact, the doors are opened and closed by the central system. If you need to open the doors manually, you can use the switch marked with the key symbol.

The tables

The tables of the participants are equipped with outlets so they can charge their PCs, tablets, mobiles, etc.

NB: In the front row of tables in the Auditorium there are 3 HDMI outlets, one per row. These outlets allow each participant to connect their computer to display it on the classroom screens.

The Projectors

The projectors

The Auditorium is equipped with 6 laser projectors. To turn them on and off and to show slides, the controls are on the Touch Panel of the Auditorium.
